PERTH: Rishabh Pant India’s newest cricket sensation and record holder wicket keeper recently spoke about MS Dhoni’s amazing skills and services for Indian Cricket.

He calls Dhoni “The Hero of the Country“..he further added that he learnt everything he knows about performing under pressure from former skipper Dhoni.

Rishabh Pant made headlines on Monday after he leveled along standing world record for most catches in Test Match by a Wicket Keeper. Taking an astounding 11 catches in India’s solid 31 run victory against Australia in the 1st Test.

The 21 yr old Prodigy now shares the world record with English player Jack Russel (made record in 95 against SA) and South African cricketer AB Devilliers (made record in 2013 against PAK)

Rishabh also shattered the Indian record of 10 Catches taken by Wriddhiman Saha.

“He’s (Dhoni) the hero of the country,” Pant, told cricket.com.au.

“I’ve learnt a lot from him as a person and as a cricketer as well. Whenever he’s around, I feel more confident as a person. If I’ve got any problems I can share it with him and get a solution right away.

“As a wicketkeeper and a player (he’s taught me) to be patient in pressure situations like this (in Adelaide). You have to keep calm and keep composed and try to give 100 per cent.”

Talking about the record, Pant said: “I never thought of the record but it’s good to take some catches and put it inside my kitty. It’s good to have milestones, but I’m not thinking about that too much.”
