Star Auburn Gymnast Breaks Both Legs in Horrible Fall

A senior gymnast from Auburn University was a lead player in NCAA gymnastics regional event. On Friday she faced a serious injury in her leg and due to this loss, she has drawn from the event. Samantha Cerio is an active player and she faced serious injury while making her first pass at the Baton Rouge Regional. She was attempting a handspring double front with blind landing when she made the fast landing and fell down to the sports mat.

Auburn coach Jeff Graba used the words for her situation, “It was pretty tough to watch, according to Nola.com. “She’s a champ. The last thing she said was, ‘Go help the girls.’ The girls rallied around her. They’re doing this for her right now.”
According to the official report, Cerio was in swear pain. She was screaming with pain on the plain floor. she grabbed her both legs and was trying to manage the pain with sportsmanship because she learned such management from her medical staff and athlete trainers. But it looked hard to manage the things.

There are no official updates related to Cerio’s injuries by Auburn officials, but according to the report of nola.com Cerio dislocated both of her knees and broke both of her legs.

Recently Cerio got the title of SEC Co-Scholar Athlete of the year. Cerio focuses on the floor and the bars. Auburn Tigers website reported on her career with recent tragic news.

Cerio is a lead part of her team. The team was in prominent position in the tournament due to good performance record. The team finished the Friday night competition with an overall score of 197.075, the highest regional score in program history. They qualify for the regional final on Saturday night. The Drew Cerio shared her thought on her twitter, as “I love my team #WarEagle.”

The team is united and sharing the love with Cerio on her injury. They started to motivate her by sharing the hashtag, “#StickItForSam”, before the final on Saturday night.
Graba shared her feelings in front of the  Advocate: she was the “heart and soul” of the team.
“We wanted more than anything to do this for her,” he Added.

Even with rallying around their injured teammate, the gymnastics team ended up coming up short during the regional finals on Saturday, finishing fourth, according to the Auburn Tigers website.

Graba said after the final, “I think we were out of gas”. “Emotionally spent. But I thought the girls fought hard. They did a great job.”
Auburn Tigers website reported that Even with rallying around their injured team fellows, the gymnastics team ended up coming up short during the regional finals on Saturday, finishing fourth.
