Chinese Officials Crackdown on Christians: Officials Close Churches, burn Bibles, Forces Christians to Denounce Faith

The Chinese Government in a bid to extend more power to the ruling atheist Communist party has launched a crackdown on Christians. As per the reports coming in, the Chinese officials have locked down the Christian congregations, burnt the Holy Bible, destroyed the holy cross signs and asked the Christians to denounce their religion. All this illegal use of power against the Christian community has been reported in Beijing and other provinces as well.

This campaign goes on as “Sinicize”, which literally means to make Chinese. Under this campaign, those of Christian faiths are forcefully ordered to denounce their faith and devote their loyalties to the atheist Community Party.  China which is an atheist state, is also home to 38 million Protestants, and some reliable reports also hypothesize that incoming decades China will have the world’s largest Christian population.

Amid all this, the ruling party has launched a planned cracked-down which makes sure no serious political hurdle comes in against them. Reports suggest that China has denied any such agendas of setting camps of indoctrination; they asserted the importance of tackling terrorism.

The Chinese constitution in 1982 grants people the religious freedom and also asked them to only worship government-sanctioned congregations. But now millions of Chinese worship in-cognito or in house churches, which is actually against the Chinese regulations.

The situation for Chinese #Christians becomes more dire by the day. We are working tirelessly to put maximum pressure on China stop the persecution,” Jay Sekulow, President Trump attorney and Chief Counsel at the American Center for Law & Justice (ACLJ), wrote in a tweet.
