Xherdan Shaqiri ‘s bicycle kick proves he worth Liverpool Jersey

Xherdan Shaqiri is in the spotlight, and that’s all for good, at first his World Cup campaign with Switzerland made him stand tall and now his debut with the new club  is the reason of it. Days after the World Cup, the Stoke City winger got the transfer to Liverpool and to be very exact the football pundits were not very much pleased with this move. Answering to all of the critics, Shaqiri did what would have been least expected, he scored on his debut with Liverpool, and that too with an acrobatic effort.

His goal added up 4 on the scorecard for Liverpool against Manchester United’s only one goals. The Swiss star player’s debut came in International Champions Cup. The point which should be noted here is that the encounter between Liverpool and Manchester United was a high-profile match with various star players featuring in.  Amid all of them, all the eyes were stuck on Swiss footballer as it was his debut match.

Shaqiri stunned the audience with his superb goal coming in the 82nd minute of the match. To be very honest, it won’t be wrong to call one of the best debut goals for a club as it was an outstanding acrobatic effort that resulted in an acrobatic goal.  It will be pertinent to mention here that Shaqiri’s 90th minute World Cup goal winner against Serbia made him stand out as one of the stars of the tournament.

Shaqiri had to face strong criticism from the football pundits including the former captain Neville, and with his performances like latest one, he can make many of the analysts rethink about him.
