Liverpool recently finished their Merseyside derby against Everton last night in a 2-2 draw. However, the Dutch skipper suffered a horrific injury that will keep him sidelined for a long time. During the first half, Virgil van Dijk involved in a clash with Everton goalie Jordan Pickford. And in that clash, the doctor confirmed that Van Dijk has suffered an anterior cruciate ligament injury.
The Dutchman is in great form as he displayed his best in his most-liked position. And with his help, Liverpool is now following the right track to successfully defending their Premier League title this season. However, this injury seems a crucial blow for the Reds as he is one of the main pillars of the Liverpool defense.
