21-year-old French superstar Kylian Mbappe recently suffered a horrific ankle injury in the last match against Saint-Etienne on 24th July 2020. And since then, it was unclear that if he would participate in the upcoming UEFA Champions League clash against Atalanta tonight. However, the PSG manager Thomas Tuchel recently confirmed that the striker will play in the match.
Thomas Tuchel previously expressed his worry and told it was highly unlikely that Kylian Mbappe will play in the UCL quarterfinal clash. He said it would be a miracle for the team if it happens. Besides the Brazilian sensation Neymar, Mbappe is one of the key players of the French club as they are now eyeing on their Champions League success.

While talking about Kylian Mbappe’s recovery, Paris Saint-Germain manager Thomas Tuchel told in the pre-match press conference, “If he has a good training session today and nothing extraordinary happens, he will be with the team tomorrow.” He added, “We are very happy that he is with the group and that we can have the possibility of finishing the match with him.”
He said of Neymar, “I have the impression that there is always a lot of pressure on him, but he likes it,” and then added, “He is used to playing with this pressure.” Tuchel said, “We are very happy that Kylian is also with the group and that we can have the possibility to finish the match with him, because the two like to play together. Neymar is decisive on the big matches and I am convinced that he can be the key man for us. He has the necessary quality for this kind of situation.”

PSG coach Tuchel also talked about another key player Mauro Icardi and said, “Mauro is very important, especially with Kylian’s injury and Edi Cavani absent.” He then added, “It will be very important that he play a great game, showing his personality, showing that he can fight in important games. He is never scared, he can always score.”
Thomas Tuchel said, “We can rely on him tactically and defensively. His integration was great with the group, which was not very complicated as we have plenty of South American players, but he really fits in this locker room.” The PSG manager further said, “It’s now time for him to put us into the semis.”
