The affair between Argentine talisman Lionel Messi and the FC Barcelona management went crazy after they announced the release of Luis Suarez. Shortly after, he declared his wish to move away from Camp Nou that shook the whole world. Muchas gracias a todos y no se olviden que siempre estarán en mi ❤️❤️ Special day with feelings of sadness for leaving a place that gave me a lot as a player and as a person. I enjoyed every minute with my family and friends that if it weren't for them everything would be different. I take with me all the good that this great club has and the values that each person has that has helped me since I arrived. Today begins a new challenge that I am going to live with the same illusion that I have since I arrived here. Thank you all very much and do not forget that you will always be in me ❤️❤️

While giving his farewell, Messi wrote to Instagram, “You deserved a farewell that fit with who you are: one of the most important players in the history of the club. Someone who achieved great things for the team and on an individual level.” The argentine star then added, “You did not deserve for them to throw you out as they did. But the truth is that at this stage nothing surprises me anymore.”

Suarez, on the other hand, recently said, “I was not surprised about Messi because I know him too well, I knew the pain he felt, as I did.” The Argentinian star then added, “He felt they kicked me out of the club because of the forms. There were other ways to do things correctly with me. They were six long years and that bothered him too. I see him as a friend and he knows how badly we suffered.”

He said, “My family wanted to see me happy. There are some strange things in Barcelona like sending you to train separately because you were not considered for the game…” The Uruguayan striker then added, “Those kinds of things made me bad and my family saw me affected, so they encouraged me to take the opportunity. When Atlético came looking for me, I didn’t hesitate for a single moment.”

Atlético manager Diego Simeone recently said, “His two goals didn’t stand out for me, but his assists, his runs, and his movement did.” He then also added, “The changes gave us a bit extra with the strength of Marcos, the quality of Vitolo, the clarity of Thomas [Partey], and Suarez knows what he has to do: play for the team.”
