Lionel Messi says he is tired of being the problem for everyone at the Camp Nou following the claims of Griezmann’s uncle

The report of the deteriorating relationship between Argentine talisman Lionel Messi and French striker Antoine Griezmann came public after the departure of Luis Suarez. Recently, the former agent of the Frenchman and the uncle of the player claimed that Lionel Messi is the root cause of Griezmann’s failure and the incident of repeatedly sidelined from the FC Barcelona squad.

FC Barcelona, on the other hand, faced a deteriorating performance in the last season. They failed to bag any silverware while losing the La Liga title to their archrival Real Madrid. Besides, they also faced a tragic 8-2 loss against the Bundesliga side Bayern Munich. And since then, Lionel Messi wanted to leave the club and wanted to end his long-standing relationship with his boyhood club.

Antoine Griezmann’s uncle, Emmanuel Lopes, recently talked about the French striker and blamed Lionel Messi. While talking about Griezmann, he told El Chiringuito, “[Griezmann] was convinced that he wasn’t going to be successful within the first six months, but what I didn’t expect was that it would last an entire year.” He then added, “Besides, with Messi, I know what’s going on inside [the club] – it’s not easy.”

Lopes then expressed his anger and said, “Basically, [Messi] doesn’t work hard enough at Barca and the training sessions are structured in order to please certain people, which is fine if you don’t want to work [as hard].” Messi, on the other hand, replied “I’m tired of always being everyone’s problem at the club.” He added, “I get here after a 15-hour flight and I find a tax agent here, it’s ridiculous.”

Barcelona goalkeeper, Marc-Andre ter Stegen, recently said, “It’s always an advantage to have Messi on the team because he can score goals out of nowhere – that’s what makes him so special.” He then added, “I hope he continues here and can be happy. You have to give him the opportunity to be above things because he’s an extremely important part of our game.”

The Catalan goalkeeper then also talked about his defensive partner Gerard Pique. He said, “He has a special personality and is very funny.” While talking about their relationship, he said, “He understands my humor, which not many people do. We often talk to each other and always try to be the best for each other to give to others.”
