Kovacic Transfer News: Manchester United hopeful, Real Madrid still not hopeless

August 2, 2018 by Rana Hamza

Mateo Kovacic’s talent is a well-known fact but what goes back to him is something not very appreciable. The midfielder has been quite unfortunate with the game time, whether it had been his club Real Madrid or his national side Croatia, the issue has been quite the same. With all such happening, Kovacic has already made up his mind to get rid of Bernabeu. So the Croatian is all in the spotlight to get a grab from many of the leading EPL sides like Manchester United, Chelsea and Spurs. The one who really looks keen to get Kovacic in their lines from the aforementioned teams is United as some reliable sources have told that Mourinho’s side has bid €60M for the star mid-fielder.

It should be noted here that Kovacic couldn’t even get the spotlight in the recently concluded World Cup; he was used as more of the substitute player, who couldn’t make any big impact on the game within the given time. He also missed the penalty against England, which made him look even lean amid other players featuring in the Croatian playing XI.  Only 24 years of age, Kovacic is said to have great talent but unfortunately, over his three years of time at Real Madrid, he couldn’t get much of the play in their first team.

The latest news coming about Kovacic’s transfer is even with getting a superb bid offer from The Red Devils, he isn’t going there and that due to not liking the style of Mourinho. Moreover, the Croatian wants more time and that even looks a difficult thing to happen at Old Trafford.

On the other hand, Real Madrid under their new coach Julen Lopetegui would try to make sure Kovacic changes his mind about leaving Real Madrid. It should be noted that the Croatian mid-fielder would join his current club in the pre-season campaign just within several days.
