Katia Aveiro indulges in an Instagram rant after the Covid-19 report of Cristiano Ronaldo came positive

October 15, 2020 by Sourav Das

The whole world stood still after the Portuguese football federation announced that the football legend Cristiano Ronaldo became covid-19 positive. And now, it is almost certain that CR7 will miss the greatest matches of this year, Juventus vs. Barcelona in the UEFA Champions League. Besides, his international appearances are also in jeopardy as he needs to be negative at least a week before the match.

On the other hand, Cristiano Ronaldo’s sister Katia Aveiro indulged in a rant on her Instagram profile following the news of his brother become covid-19 positive. Katia openly expressed her anger over the current scenario while openly stating that she was pretty frustrated about the situation. She also expressed that she is now witnessing a big fraud.

While declaring the test report of Cristiano Ronaldo, the Portuguese football federation issued a statement for the press and fans. The statement reads, “Cristiano Ronaldo was released from training with the national team after a positive test for Covid-19, so he will not face Sweden.”

It says, “The Portugal international is doing well, without symptoms, and in isolation.” The statement further reads, “Following the positive test, the remaining players underwent new tests on Tuesday morning, and all produced a negative result and are available to Fernando Santos for training this afternoon.”

Katia posted on her Instagram handle that “If Cristiano Ronaldo is the one who has to wake the world up, I have to say that this Portuguese really is an envoy from God. Thank you!” She then added, “I believe that today, thousands of people who have come to believe so much in this pandemic, in the tests and the measures taken will, like me, see it is the biggest fraud I’ve seen since I was born.”

On the other hand, Portuguese coach Fernando Santos said, “He (Ronaldo) is managing the situation very well. He is in the room, saying he wants to play, he talks to us from upstairs [from his balcony].” He then added, “He is completely asymptomatic, he is okay, without any symptoms, he doesn’t even know what happened to him.”
