Ibrahimovic Just Scored His 500th Goal: Joins Ronaldo and Messi

Zlatan Ibrahimovic continues to shine in The LA Galaxy. The forward scored the 500th goal of his career on Sunday afternoon against Toronto FC. The goalkeeper, Alex Bono had absolutely no clue as to what had happened. Ibrahimovic guided a phenomenal volley from inside the box and celebrated with the usual confidence. The goal won a standing ovation by the crowd and even from the Toronto fans.

With this goal, Zlatan Ibrahimovic has joined the elite club of players who are currently active in the game and have scored more than 500 goals. Only three currently active players have achieved the milestone. Ronaldo and Messi being the first two and Ibrahimovic being the third one.

The Sweedish International has a legendary status in his country and has netted 62 goals while playing for his country in 114 matches. 438 of Ibrahimovic’s goals have come during his club career. The 36 year old has played 747 matches for some of the top clubs in the world. Before LA Galaxy, he has played for Manchester United, Paris-Saint Germain, AC Milan, FC Barcelona, FC Internazionale, Juventus, Ajax, and Malmo FF.
