Former Brazilian legend Ronaldo Nazário buys La Liga club

September 4, 2018 by Sabahat Waheed

The Former Brazilian striker Ronaldo Luís Nazário de Lima, commonly known as Ronaldo now has a control over the Real Valladolid, when he officially bought 51 percent of the La Liga Club’s shares.

Valladolid president Carlos Suarez said at a press conference held in the Valladolid city,

“He is an idol that loves and spreads a dream.”

“Today is a starting point. Ronaldo personally acquires 51 percent of the shares of Real Valladolid.”

Valladolid is known to be on the top tier after earning promotion in last season.

Ronaldo has played in Spain for Barcelona and Real Madrid, and he also had won the World cup twice with Brazil.

He was happy and he said that “This is a very important day for me.” He also added “I’ve gone through a lot to prepare both within the game and outside it.

“You can count on us to consolidate Real Valladolid in the top division and to keep building our dream.”

Also an investigation was done last month about the club’s pitch due to its poor condition, at Jose Zorrilla stadium, where Barcelona was on loss by 1-0.

Ronaldo is known as one of the greatest players of the game and he is expected to bring a sprinkling of stardust.

He retired 2011, and he was named Fifa World player for the year 1996, 1997 and 2002.

He will shape the club’s future with the help of Valladolid fans as he appealed to do so.

He said while appealing “I want everyone to be a part of this club to give us ideas, opinions, criticisms and aspirations. I want you to be part of the present and future of Real Valladolid.”
