FIFA World Cup 2018 Top Goal Scorers: Golden Boot Standings and Predictions

June 20, 2018 by Rana Hamza

Even the non-Football fans have turned out some serious football fans as it’s time for FIFA World Cup 2018 and apart from the national team standings, all eyes are stuck on the top scorer of this mega event.  In short,  it is the battle of the best, and a reminder for all those who were only of the view that goal scoring is only about the race of Messi and Ronaldo. So far the World Cup is in it’s initial and what it tells us is young blood is also there in the race to earn big respect.

As per the situation until now Ronaldo seems unstoppable as he is top on the list of goal scoring with getting 4 goals to his name and that too just in 2 games. On the other hand, Messi is nowhere to be found in the list of top scorers as of now as his first game was complete dismay for him and his fans as well. The Argentinean striker not only left the penalty in his first game at World Cup but also left few of the easy looking chances. Following Ronaldo, second on the top scorer list is promising Russian star Denis Cheryshev, who has netted ball thrice in two games. The power-show he have displayed so far got him in limelight and even a strong contender for Golden Boot.

World Cup 2018 Scorer (20th June First Two Matches included)

Cristiano Ronaldo: 4 Goals in 2 Games
Denis Cheryshev: 3 Goals in 2 Games
Diego Costa: 2 Goals in 2 Games
Harry Kane: 2 Goals in 1 Game
Romelu Lukaku: 2 Goals in 1 Game
Artem Dzybua: 2 Goals in 2 Games
