The whole football world stood still out of respect as Portuguese legend Cristiano Ronaldo came face to face against the Argentine legacy Lionel Messi a few days ago. These two legends played against each other as Serie A side Juventus recently faced and defeated Spanish side Barcelona in a UEFA Champions League’s group stage match. The heavily-anticipated match ended in a 3-0 score in favor of the Bianconeri.
The South American football star, Arthur, recently switched from the Spanish side to Turin this summer. And following his move, he expressed his personal experience with both Ronaldo and Messi. However, he is among the very few players who are deployed to assist both the six and five times Ballon d’Or winning respectively.
Brazilian international Arthur believes that Cristiano Ronaldo is way more accessible than Lionel Messi
Obrigado por tudo que sempre fez por mim e pela nossa família. Agradeço a Deus todos os dias por ter você ao meu lado. Parabéns pelo teu dia, pai. Te amo! 🖤 pic.twitter.com/91JRx7zXHX

While comparing Cristiano Ronaldo with Lionel Messi, Juventus’s new recruit Arthur said, “They’re champions above all else. In this, Messi and Ronaldo are identical. Concentrated from start to finish, always.” He then added, “If they score three goals, they immediately think of the fourth. They never disconnect. It’s impressive and at the same time motivating, because they push you to do your best.”
Arthur said, “Compared to Messi, Ronaldo talks more and is more accessible. He never backs down if there is a team-mate in need, and he inspires fierce determination.” He then also added, “He trains like an animal, he doesn’t know what a break is, and he always encourages you to do your best. He leaves nothing to chance.”
Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi Came Face To Face
The Brazilian international said, “I already knew it because people talk, the world of football is small and they tell you about it. They tell you what he does, but when you see it up close it is impressive.” He then also added, “There are days when we get back at two in the morning because we played late and he starts training.”
Arthur said, “Who does that? Cristiano. I joke and tell him that he is sick, but what are you going to say to someone who has so many Ballons d’Or. Mentally he is very strong.” He then talked about Cristiano Ronaldo’s help and said, “Since I arrived, he has helped me a lot because we speak the same language. He is always close and helps me, for example, with things that I have not understood. In food too, he even tells me what to eat.”
