Manchester City midfielder Bernardo Silva is quite optimistic about the Premier League title chance of his team this season. They are now just 4 points behind the table-topper Liverpool, although the Citizen squad nearly returns to its full strength after they went through an injury-related problem in December last year.
Besides being one of the main contenders of the Premier League title this year, Manchester City is also hopeful about their UEFA Champions League, FA Cup, and EFL Cup chance. After missing almost the whole season due to a knee injury, Kevin De Bruyne is set to return in the squad. And, same goes for Benjamin Mendy.
Bernardo Silva is now hopeful that after the return of several of their important players in the starting squad, the team will have a significant boost in their performance. While talking about the title chance of Manchester City this season, the Portuguese playmaker said, “It feels like we have all the squad which is important because we need all of them.”
He said “It is good finally to be back together and of course until now, until this moment of the season we have had so many injured players,” and further added “We never played with the whole squad so to have almost the whole squad available is fantastic for us and it is very good to try and go for all the competitions.”
The Manchester City midfielder said “I think it is a good sign for us that we are still in all the competitions, that is what we try to do and big teams try to do,” and then added “We will keep going that way, we have a good squad, we will try to make things work, knowing that it is not easy. We are playing in four competitions, against good opponents.”
He then also expressed his views about playing in the Manchester City squad for many seasons and said “I don’t think it really matters to reach our goals because when you play in a club like Man City, season after season, you get used to play lots of games so all these games that play in a high level for so many years are used to this.”
