Shahid Afridi challenges Chris Gayle for a single-wicket match (Details)

August 7, 2018 by Rana Hamza

Shahid Afridi and six hitting is a story which goes hands in hands. The former Pakistani cricketer has entertained the cricket-fans all across the globe for more than 2-decades. Known for hitting ball out of the park quite often, Shahid Khan Afridi is nicknamed as Boom Boom. He single-handedly went on winning games for Pakistan with his aggressive style. Throughout his years of glory, he kept hands on dozens of records, and still now he stands tall with the Most sixes record across all three formats. It should be noted here that now the Caribbean Six-hitting machine is the joint record holder for the most sixes in international cricket (ODI, T20, and Test) along with Shahid Afridi.

It should be noted here that the World Boss, Gayle went on equaling the record with smashing 5 maximums in third ODI against Bangladesh.  Gayle is second to none when it comes to six-hitting and now he is officially the joint most six-smasher across all three formats.

The Pakistani legend took to Twitter to wish Chris Gayle over equaling this world record with him , and also challenged the West Indian star for a single-wicket match.

No worries at all in the Universe Boss taking over my record! Richly deserved, hope to play a single wicket match with you one day, let’s see who hits more 6s and there should be no rules for getting OUT! ?@henrygayle https://t.co/WxEaUhKjgY
