Ehsan Mani Officially Elected Pakistan Cricket Board

Ehsan Mani has been elected as PCB chairman for three years. All members of Board of Governors (BoG) voted for him because he was the only candidate to submit his nomination papers. The post of the chairman PCB was vacant as Najam Sethi, resigned last month.
A special meeting was observed, headed by election commissioner Justice (retired) Afzal Haider and temporary chairman. Ehsan Mani accepted his executive powers as PCB chairman and had a brief meeting with all members of Board of Governors after the election. For this post, he was nominated by Prime Minister of Pakistan, Imran Khan.
From 1989 to 1996, he represented the PCB at the ICC and after that, he served ICC as a Director of finance and marketing committee from 1996 to 2006. For ICC, he played a key role in negotiating the profitable sale of the media rights. From 2003 to 2006, Mani also served ICC as president. He worked for Asian cricket council as well. He helped them various cricket board in TV right sale.
The first immediate task for Mani is to review the legal battle against India over two unplayed bilateral series, started by the last PCB chairman Najam Sethi. The officials of both Boards are set to face off before the ICC dispute panel on October 1.
Another main thing is that Mani ought to turn his eyes to the Pakistan Super League because the hosts are looking to change and it also awaits for fresh commercials. A meeting between the PCB and PSL Franchise owners was scheduled but due to the resignation of Najam Sethi, it got postponed.
The National coaching staff under the leadership of Mickey Arthur met with Ehsan Mani, at the Gaddafi Stadium where Pakistan’s 18-man squad undergoes a skills camp for Asia Cup in UAE.
Whole Pakistani cricket lovers are excited and looking forward to international cricket in Pakistan, and this surely is going to be a big challenge for Ehsan Mani.
