Australian fast bowling legend, Glenn McGrath, lauded India’s pacer Jasprit Bumrah for his bowling skill and consistency. Besides, he also dubbed Bumrah as the most outstanding bowler of 2019 ICC Cricket World Cup. When the media asked him about his opinion of the bowling attacks of different teams, the retired Australian pacer didn’t think twice to name him the best.
While talking about the best fast bowlers in ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 as of now, Glenn McGrath said, “They (Indian fast bowlers) were impressive during their tour to Australia and even out-bowled us. I am particularly impressed with Jasprit Bumrah.” He then added, “Bumrah bowls fast in a short run up and has a unique action.”

The Australian bowling machine is right now in a tour to India for the MRF Pace Foundation’s talent hunt program in MS Dhoni’s native city, Ranchi. The three-time ICC World Cup winner open heartedly talked in a press conference where he expressed his liking for the Indian pacer.
Jasprit Bumrah is currently the world no.1 fast bowler according to the ICC ODI ranking. And now, he is also taking the main duty of the Indian bowling attack at the World Cup in England. He already picked five wickets till now. And with the ligament injury of his fellow pacer Bhubaneswar Kumar, he will soon need to take more responsibility. However, it seems that Mohammed Shami will now have his chance against Afghanistan at the World Cup.
Bumrah ended wicketless against Pakistan in the highly anticipated match at the Old Trafford ground. However, he became successful to give very few runs to the Pakistani top order batsmen. This 25-year-old fast bowler already took 92 wickets in just 51 ODI matches. Besides, he also has 49 wickets in his brief 10 test match career. It is now highly expected that he will continue his form at the World Cup.
