Meet Duchess, a Siamese cat who had not spent an easy life. She was found as a stray with a broken jaw due to being hit by a car. She was in need of instant medical treatment. The rescuers brought her to the Adobe Animal Hospital and Clinic in Texas, where she got proper treatment and care.
The staff tried their best to repaired her jaw. An employee at the animal hospital, Crystal Tate told, “The impact from the car broke her jaw, and seeing the condition she was in, most other places would have chosen to euthanize her.”
Duchess had received the successful surgery, it came out that she would never be able to eat properly again, as her jaw had been shattered and she only had a few teeth left. She kept staying at the clinic for a month to recover after the surgery. She had given various medications and fed her through a feeding tube.
Crystal had a special affection for this poor soul and fell in love with Duchess and wanted to give her a forever home. “Every day, I would spend time with her, petting her, talking to her and when the doctors asked me if I could give her a home a few weeks later, I knew immediately we were meant to be in each other’s lives. “
Duchess is now spending comfortable life with a new family at Crystal’s home, where a Siberian Husky named Joshua, her cat brother, Oliver, and a bichon named Peaches give her good company. She loves being part of this family and spends her days cheerfully.
After bearing the harsh realities of life, Duchess finally found a forever home. Her new home makes her stronger and confident. Duchess needed a few more medical procedures after coming into Crystal’s home. We are glad to see her happy!
