I Photographed Two Stray Cats Cuddling And I Swear This Is Not Staged

Travelling teaches you a lot and enriches you gently. When you step out to see the world, meet people, get acquainted with different cultures, taste new cuisines or simply breathe in an unfamiliar city, you learn a lot. It’s all about losing yourself into the arms of a new environment. Travelling opens your eyes to small, ordinary things of life, things that are undervalued, but have great significance.

Meet this average Californian world traveler who is a cat lover, and dreams of  having his own some day. Crossing the international borders, where road is often lonely and he wants to play with stray animals to satisfy this feeling, but they are usually too afraid of people. When he arrived in Turkey, he came across  many stray kitties roam the streets and cafes, and they are very friendly. He believes it is a reflection of the warm hearts of the Turkish people, who care for these furry animals, feeding them and even building them adorable houses. He is inspired by the friendly environment around.

One day, while strolling the Bosphorus Canal he was surprised to see two cats just cuddling each other. He has never seen any cats, let alone strays, behave like this. He quickly captured the beautiful bond of the kitties in his camera. They pose perfectly, seems that they are ready for photoshoot. He really loved the beautiful city Istanbul and can’t wait to return. He miss the kind people, the scrumptious food, and of course, the little furry ones. Those amazing moments always remain in his mind.

It was a chilly day, they sat atop this windy wall to enjoy the beautiful scene together.

They were just enjoying the view, and are clearly at peace.

Just a perfect day.

Maybe they planned this outing earlier? I wouldn’t be surprised.

Morning yoga.

Kitty house! These are all over the place, and not just for one cat each… they are shared.

Nearly every cafe has cats on the tables. They are the real guests. People eat and sip chai around them.

This guy hardly lifted his head to say “hello”. He was in no way threatened by the bustling cafe. It made me happy inside.

Hard day’s work.

Awww yeah!

That good scratching!

Two strays. This scruffy boy hopped up and wouldn’t go. I didn’t mind at all.

This one was pregnant and wary.

Plenty to go around.

Cats live all over these rocks, scouring for fish or whatever else they can find.

They come running, demanding to be picked up. I cuddled as many as I could but still left so many in need of a hug.

We still have never said a word to each other and I was in a rush. Help me track him down.
